Miranda Jacobs
My name is Miranda L. Jacobs. I work for Ware County Schools, and I teach grades 6-12 mathematics at WCLC. I am a candidate in the Instructional Technology Educational Specialist program at Kennesaw State University. Currently, I serve as my school PBIS Coach, Professional Learning Coordinator, and this year, I am the new testing coordinator for my school. I also manage the school Facebook page and website. I have leadership skills, and this program has helped me gain more of an understanding of working in a leadership role; I am continually growing in that capacity. I have learned how to assist effectively, and coach teachers with instructional and technology need to improve student learning. I love being an educator and helping students grow, learn and have academic success. I believe in teamwork, and I am an excellent team player. I am a great communicator and believe communication with students and parents, is critical to students’ academic success.
My electronic portfolio serves as an organized online documentation tool to show exhibit evidence of the skills, knowledge, and dispositions I have gained throughout the Educational Specialist program. Within my portfolio, visitors can view a collection of artifacts and thoughtful reflections of learning experiences I have participated in throughout the program. The portfolio is well organized; I begin my portfolio by first introducing myself. Next, I have provided a video reflection that I created to share my story as a candidate in the Instructional Technology program at KSU. I have included my resume, a personal vision of technology use within P-12 schools, a reflection of each technology standard I have mastered.
Additionally, I have provided artifacts of field experiences that I have participated in throughout the program. Overall, my portfolio includes evidence of leadership skills, coaching expertise, and the ability to use data to evaluate the success of a program. All skills I have in which position me for a future in school leadership, as an Instructional Coach or Assistant Principal.
Lastly, visitors, as you are viewing my portfolio, I suggest that you begin with reading my introduction, then see my video reflection. Continue to follow each tab until you have viewed my entire portfolio.
