Vision
Vision Statement
With the increase of 21st-century technology, schools must begin to implement digital tools and resources daily within the learning environments. My mission is to create a positive, safe blended-learning environment that produces high academic achievement while meeting the diverse needs of students, promoting student engagement, and for students to become lifelong learners and prepare them to be responsible citizens. Additionally, technology integration will assist in enhancing student learning experiences by creating authentic lessons to be meaningful and to enhance cultural understanding and increase global awareness. Also, the integration of technology will be used by students to demonstrate their learning. In the classroom, teachers should use technology to engage and motivate students to become active participants in their learning while using higher-order thinking skills. The needs of students can be met using technology integration, and there is a need for digital equity. Digital equity provides students with an equal and fair opportunity to learn and for student achievement.
Below is an example of how my vision of technology integration will look like in practice while providing digital equity and promoting student engagement:
Overall, the adaptation of the use of technology in the classroom will improve student learning. If schools implement a technology vision statement, teachers are more likely to use technology daily within their classrooms to help students attain student achievement and prepare them to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens by taking ownership of their learning.

- An eighth-grade math classroom has student’s setup for stations. Students will use Chromebooks to complete their assignments while in their stations. Station one will have students that need remediation of the Pythagorean Theorem working on their Chromebooks to practice using the Web 2.0 tools Quizziz and IXL. The next station of students will work on a project of the Pythagorean Theorem using a choice board of activities that they will choose to complete; all activities will be completed using Google Suites for Education. The third station of students is working on creating test questions for the Pythagorean Theorem and its converse, which allows them to work on their critical thinking and problem-solving skills using Google Forms on their Chromebooks. The fourth station will create questions for a review Jeopardy game over the Pythagorean theorem for the class to play as a review for the unit assessment, which allows them to work on their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
